Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is it only Online or can I have the application installed on premise.

Currently it is Online only, but we are working towards providing on premis version as well. Please contact us if you would like to get a test version.

Q: Can I control the frequency of meetings?

A: Absolutely! Team-Roulette allows you to set the frequency of the Roulettes. Each roulette might have a different frequency. The Frequency is defined in days. So for example if you would like a roulette to schedule meetings every two weeks, you would set the interval to 14 days.

Q: When does the first roulette take place, when are the first round of meetings sent out?

A: The first round is being sent out 10 hours after creation of a roulette. There are two reasons to wait those 10 hours. First is that you want to have some time to edit the roulette, modify it and add members. We chose 10 hours, because we think that the invitations should be sent possibly outside of working hours as to not interrupt the work of your team members if they have not turned off their email notifications. Typically you would create your roulette in your working hours, therefore if you add 10 hours, you are likely outside of those hours.

Q: what is the cost of using Team-Roulette?

A: Pricing for the online version is pay pay invite (1 invitation for 2 persons). You buy Invitation credits which then can be used for the invitations. The price of those credits depends on the amount you buy and the given discount. With the early access discount of 50% you will pay 50€ for 100 credits, the discount increases by further 10% (60%) if you buy 300 credits, and by additional 20% if you buy 1000 credits. The price per credit is 1€. So if you buy 100 credits, you will pay 0.5€ per credit. If you buy 1000 credits, you will pay 0.3€ per credit. You can use the credits for any of your roulettes.

Q: How do I buy invitations?

Payments can be made through PayPal, or you may request a personalized quote. After payment, you’ll receive an invoice via email, and the amount will be added as credits to your account. You can purchase credits to cover all your roulettes, or buy credits specifically for a single roulette. Any subscriber can add credits for a roulette, regardless of ownership

Q: I have two teams that I want to get to know each other better, the team members of each team know each other very well and do not need to meet, is it possible to set it up?

Yes, it is possible. When you add subscribers to your roulette you can choose to add them all to team 1 (default team), then the matches will be done within that team. But if you add also members to Team 2, then the roulette will match people from one team to another. If one team is bigger than the other some of the team members of the larger team will not get invitations. But they will eventually meet all the team members of another team.

Q: How do you track if a meeting actually took place

We don't. This is also not needed. Team members are first assigned by the roulette organizer, but the team members can at any time unsubscribe from the roulette if they decide they no longer want to participate in it. It is important to communicate to your team members, that being part of a Team-Roulette is not mandatory and encourage them to stay for at least few rounds before they unsubscribe.

Can I see the coverage of the roulette?

Yes, you can see the progress of the roulette directly in the roulette view.
progress screenshot When you click on the progress bar, you will see the coverage of the roulette in form of a graph, with nodes representing the team members and edges representing the meetings that took place.
